MOSCOW — Latah County returned to pre-COVID access for all county buildings on May 20.
The Latah County commissioners ended the Order and Supplemental Order Restricting Public Access to the County Facilities that was in place since March 8, 2020, according to county documents. The order to end them was signed on May 19.
Masks, distancing, and restricting the number of people are no longer required by the county, but each department can impose precautions of their own determination, according to county documents.
The Latah County Sheriff’s Office continues to require masks for staff and the public when getting fingerprinted.
The reasons behind the change are Gov. Brad Little’s moving Idaho to Stage 4 of the Idaho Rebounds Plan on May 11, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated recommendations from May 16, and Public Health-Idaho North Central District indicating the number of COVID cases declining.
