Colton Wildcats girls take down Eagles

ST JOHN — The Colton Wildcats defeated the St. John-Endicott-LaCrosse Eagles 74-31 on May 22.

“We got off to real good start and jumped off to a 26-9 lead in the first quarter,” said Wildcats Coach Clark Vining. “We had a pretty balanced scoring.”

Colton’s Rylee Vining scored 29 points and had 13 steals. Maggie Meyer scored 18 points. Josie Schultheis scored 17 points and had 6 assists. Freshman Kyndra Stout had 10 rebounds.

“Our defense was pretty solid in the first half but we tightened up our defense in the second half,” sazid Vining.
