Pullman police chief retires

PULLMAN – Pullman Police Chief Gary Jenkins retired after 47 years in law enforcement.

Jenkins was the chief of the Pullman Police Department since July 2010. He came to Pullman after serving 33 years with the Claremont Police Department in southern California.

"It has been an honor to work alongside the men and women of the Pullman Police Department. They are all dedicated to policing Pullman with compassion and professionalism," Jenkins said.

Mayor Glenn Johnson and City Administrator Mike Urban will be initiating a nationwide search for a replacement.
