The Dick Appel children celebrated their mother Helen’s June 5th birthday. Those attending were Caroline and Rob Kunkel, Kae, Ellie and Luciene; Neil and Liz Appel, Josh, Noemi, Isaac, John Paul, Grace, Michael and Charlote; and Lisa and Travis Frei, Miriam, Rachel, Emma and Colette.

Saturday, the Broeckel farm was the setting for the outdoor wedding of Sami BeDell, daughter of Angela and Brian Broeckel, Dusty, also David and Vikki BeDell, Ogden, Utah, to Sawyer Meek, son of Bob and Karen Sawyer, Oregon City, Oregon and Sheri and John Ziehl, Redmond, Oregon. The ceremony was performed by Sawyer’s friend, Brandon Hendricks. In addition to the couple’s parents, guests included their grandparents, siblings and their families. Guests were voluntarily escorted to their seats by Copper and Mia, the couple’s two dogs. The outdoor reception / dinner was held at the home of the late Oscar Broeckel.  The couple live in Moses Lake.
