Cooling center opens in Palouse

PALOUSE – The Community Center is open as a cooling center from 1-5 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 28, and 2-5 p.m. Wednesday, June 30.

People using the center can bring refreshments, books, crafts, or office work, according to the community center, 230 E. Main St., organizers said. Wi-Fi is available.

Children younger than 12 cannot be left unattended and pets are not allowed, organizers said. “

Just show up during the above hours and get a break from the heat,” organizers said.
