Parade starts at 10:30 a.m.
LACROSSE — The LaCrosse Farmer’s Festival is June 25-26.
It features events including a parade, band at the park, pit barbecue sandwiches for lunch, free swimming at the pool, and kids races at the football field.
Vendors start offering Italian sodas, snow cones, pop, and water at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
Entrants in the photo contest are on display starting at 9 a.m. at The Gathering Place on Main Street. The winners are announced at 1:30 p.m. in the city park.
At 10 a.m. the Ice Age exhibit opens at the renovated Rock House on Main Street.
The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. The parade float contest gives out $100 for a top prize, $50 for second place, and $25 for third.
Homemade pie and coffee are offered at 11 a.m. by Community Outreach in the city park.
The band Soulstice plays at noon.
The city offers free swimming at the pool from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and a second session is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
At 6 p.m. the “Wine and Stein” begins at the Lacrosse Community building. A commemorative beer stein is offered for purchase. Snacks and drinks are available from Iron Horse Brewery and Goose Ridge Wines.
The Slippery Gulch Festival was held in Tekoa last weekend, marking the first large-scale Whitman County town event held since 2019.
