The LaCrosse 4-H Club opened the parade carrying the American and Washington flags. Ahead of the group Maverick Reiber held the American flag during the National Anthem, sung by Linda Hennigar, and Ty Pierson held the Washington flag.

Men of the LaCrosse Community Club assemble beef sandwiches in the park's sheltered picnic area. The club also sold a variety of homemade pies: apple, cherry, blueberry, peach, etc.

The LaCrosse Class of 2001 tossed out popsicles to parade spectators. Several class reunions were held at the LaCrosse City Park later.
