Belmont bridge opened Monday

BELMONT — The new Belmont bridge opened on July 19 for traffic.

On July 12, a 35-foot steel deck was placed over a substructure built by the county bridge crew.

The $49,000 deck was topped off in gravel.

The project replaced an old wood bridge, which had started to rot.
