COLFAX — A new photo collage of the World Trade Center is installed at the Libey Gallery
The Libey Gallery is in The Center, adjacent to the Colfax Library at 102 S. Main Street.
Artist Tom Mohr created a photo collage of the World Trade Center to honor the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The exhibit is on display through the end of the month.
Mohr was living in New York City at the time, and the photos show the twin towers before the 2001 attack, according to Kylie Fullmer, Whitman County Library.
Another artist is displaying works in the gallery. Vicki Broeckel shows a departure from her usual local country scenes. Her works "evoke the luminist style of Thomas Kinkade with scenes of cottages and bucolic countrysides," stated Fullmer.
Watercolor paintings, by Pullman artist Ernie Weiss, continue on display through the end of September.
The Center and Colfax Library are open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
