Bulldogs bite the Crusaders

COLFAX - The Colfax Bulldogs battled the Northwest Christian Crusaders to the last point with the final match going to 26-24 for their win on Sept. 21.

Colfax hosted and won the matchup 25-16, 25-14, and 26-24.

Matches end when a team reaches 25, but they still need to win by 2 points. The final match was close when it ended as the Bulldogs dropped it in to score 26, which was 2 points ahead of Northwest Christian.

"We let them in a little bit," said Colfax Coach Brandy Brown. "They started out a little stronger and had some consistent plays. (They) gave us a good battle. We just came together and got the job done."

Bulldog Lauryn York provided 11 kills and Asher Cai had 10.

Abree Aune had 4 aces

Justice Brown gave 31 assists to Colfax.

Jaisha Gibb had 10 digs.

Brynn McGauchy and Theresa Stolle both had 3 blocks each.

"We played well together as a whole team," said Brown. "We have some good team chemistry."

Colfax remains undefeated in league play at 3-0.
