Home COVID test kits available at library

COLFAX - The Whitman County Library and the Whitman County Health Department offer free home tests for COVID.

A single EverlyWell COVID-19 Test Home Collection Kit is provided per person. The kits can only be picked up using curbside service at any library branch during normal operating hours, according to library staff. The curbside requirement is for the safety of library employees.

"Due to the medical nature of the tests and health and safety requirements, library staff cannot assist with using the test kit. Testing cannot be done in the library and please do not return your kit to the library," stated a spokesperson.

The kits are for self-administration and are to be mailed to a company for results.

"The kit includes simple instructions and a prepaid, pre-addressed UPS return label," stated a spokesperson.
