COLFAX - Author Matthew Sullivan offers a series of presentations, including one with dinner, at the Whitman County Library in Colfax.
Sullivan is providing a virtual presentation on his debut novel, "Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore," followed by an audience Q & A on Nov. 2 at noon and Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.
Serfes Foods offers a meal to enjoy during the author's presentation. To reserve the "Everybody Reads Special" for $12, call 509-558-9066 by Nov. 1. The meal can be picked up at Serfes.
The events are streaming on Everybody Reads' Facebook page live as well as on Zoom, according to Sarah Phelan-Blamires, public services librarian.
Everybody Reads is a regional program to build a shared reading experience around a single book to foster curiosity, spark discussion, and celebrates the love of story and community engagement
"Sullivan's debut novel is a fiendishly clever mystery that will keep you guessing until the very last page, where the truth, in the end, may be stranger than fiction," she stated.
Whitman County Library has copies available for loan.
Sullivan is also hosting two writing workshops via Zoom. On Nov. 3 at 4 p.m. he presents "Here Comes Trouble: Conflict and Story Fundamentals," which is geared for teens, and on Nov. 5 at 1 p.m. he presents "Building Suspense," which is geared for adults.
