State to meet over Palouse Falls use

Meetings to be held in Dayton and Ritzville

DAYTON - The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission is holding meetings in Dayton and Ritzville to discuss the use of Palouse Falls.

The meetings are addressing Lyons Ferry and Lewis and Clark Trail State Park too.

"The public is invited to attend. The meetings will focus on preliminary long-term boundary and land-use recommendations at the three parks," stated a spokesperson.

The first meeting is set for Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. at the Dayton Elementary School in the multipurpose room. The school is at 302 E. Park Street in Dayton.

The second meeting is on Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Lind-Ritzville High School in the collaboration room. The school is at 209 E. Wellsandt Ave. in Ritzville.

Masking and social distancing safety measures are being used during the meetings.
