PULLMAN - Pullman Regional Hospital and Clinic Network named three physicians to serve on the Chief Medical Officer team.
Dr. Stephen Hall, Dr. Pete Mikkelsen, and Dr. Edwin Tingstad share the duties of the role, which includes serving as a liaison to physicians to provide safe, effective medical services, supporting clinical departments, and serving on the hospital's administration team, according to Alison Weigley, director of External Relations.
"We're so grateful these well-established, highly-respected physicians are committed to helping the hospital build an even stronger bridge with our providers, through this team approach," said Scott Adams, Pullman Regional Hospital CEO.
Hall has been providing family medicine and obstetrical care for more than 13 years at Palouse Medical in Pullman. He is also the program director for the Family Medicine Residency Program- Pullman, through Washington State University's Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine.
Mikkelsen has worked for Pullman Regional Hospital's Emergency Department since 2004, first as an emergency physician and now as medical director of the Emergency Department. He is a certified physician executive in healthcare leadership.
Tingstad is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician. He's been with Inland Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine Clinic since 2000, a part of the Pullman Regional Hospital Orthopedic Center of Excellence.
