Firearms stolen near Pullman recovered

PULLMAN – Seventeen guns stolen from a Pullman area home were recovered during a search of a Moscow, Idaho home.

The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office investigated a burglary of a home south of Pullman on Nov. 21. Tools and a “large number” of firearms were stolen, according to Sheriff Brett Myers.

Surveillance photos, of a suspicious vehicle at the home a day after the burglary, were obtained by investigators.

Deputies worked with the Moscow Police Department and the Quad Cities Drug Task Force to identify the driver.

Officers were granted a search warrant on the suspected driver’s home in Moscow, said Myers.

The Moscow Police Department served the search warrant and found “17 of the stolen firearms.”

They used information discovered in the search to identify a second suspect “and the possible location of several other firearms from that burglary,” said Myers.

The investigation continues.
