Artists' work on display in Uniontown

UNIONTOWN – Artisans at the Dahmen Barn presents "des amis semblables et différents" with an open reception on Feb. 6.

The reception is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 419 N. Parkway in Uniontown.

Artists Barney Saneholtz and Franceen Hermanson's work are on display.

"(Saneholtz and Hermanson) have been friends for years, way before ever sharing a studio at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn. (Saneholtz)'s medium of choice is watercolor and pen and ink. (Hermanson) loves color no matter what medium although she has dabbled in realistic pastels landscapes, she prefers colorful acrylic abstract," stated a spokesperson.

"They are great friends even though they share the same opinions in life their art is different as night and day. They are honest and can critic each other's art and not take it personal. Differences in the style of art is a perfect example even though their art is different they get along and make perfect studio mates assisting and encouraging each other," added the spokesperson.

Artisans at the Dahmen Barn is a non-profit art organization.

The barn is open Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
