ORDINANCE NO._873_

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF Tekoa, WASHINGTON, amending Tekoa Municipal Code §2.04.010 and those portions of Ordinance Nos. 652 §1, and 602 §1, which are codified as part thereof.

BE IT ORDAINED by The City Council of the City of Tekoa as follows:

Section 1. Tekoa Municipal Code §2.04.010 and those portions of Ordinance Nos. 652 §1, and 602 §1, which are codified as part thereof, are amended to read as follows:

“2.04.010 - Designated.

a.) Any person violating any provisions or failing to comply with any of the mandatory requirements of the ordinances of the City shall be guilty of a civil infraction;

b.) Except in cases where a different civil penalty is prescribed by the City’s ordinances or City code, any person convicted of a civil infraction under any ordinance of the City of Tekoa shall be punishable as follows: $125.00 for the first offense, $250.00 for the second offense, and $500.00 for the third offense;

c.) A person is guilty of a separate offense each and every day or portion of a day in which a violation of any provision of the Ordinances of Tekoa is committed, continued, or permitted by any such person, and any such person shall be punished accordingly.”

Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days after it, or a summary thereof, has been published in the official newspaper of the City of Tekoa as required by law.
