Dahmen Barn hosts Confluo artist reception

UNIONTOWN- During a May 1 reception on the second floor of Dahmen Barn, Confluo artists talked with viewers about their art.

The artists discussed what it is like being an artist, about being appreciative of art and the stark contrast between city and small-town life.

John Sebastian, a native New Yorker, talked about what it was like to transition to rural life. He spoke of his start in SoHo, how he got started painting on giant wall-sized canvases, and the contrast of coming from packed New York to being able to see the stars at night.
