Commissioners allocate $80,000 to health district

COLFAX – Whitman County commissioners unanimously voted to give Whitman County Public Hospital District No. 2 funds to help mitigate COVID-19.

The decision to give the agency $80,000 came during the commissioners’ Monday, May 16, meeting.

Commissioners also agreed to a new plan relating to controlling blood-borne pathogens.

In other business, commissioners:

Updated employment classifications. “The classifications were updated because some of our classifications have come and gone,” Human Resources Personnel Analyst Bailey Wiedmer said.
