Railroad Days includes speeders, fun activities

COLFAX - Railroad Days attracted train enthusiasts and history buffs Sunday, June 19, to Perkin's House.

The Father's Day event at 623 N. Perkins Ave. included speeder rides to Mockonema.

The Whitman County Historical Society hosted several additional fund raising events fincluding live music, pulled pork sandwiches from Top Notch restaurant, a Perkins family reunion and a vintage fashion show.

There were also selfie stations featuring vintage scenes.

Proceeds benefited the Perkins House museum.

The event raised more than $4,000, which will be used towards new foundation expenses.
