COLFAX — The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls for service from June 28-July 4:

June 28

12:29 a.m. — West Church Street, Palouse. Domestic dispute, Deputy arrested Kristiffer James Tucker, 39, for fourth-degree assault-domestic violence and third-degree malicious mischief.

3:43 a.m. – State Route 23, Steptoe. Suicidal person. Deputy responded.

7:15 a.m. – Rosalia Road and Pine City Malden Road, Rosalia. Animal problem/complaint, Deputy received a report of cows in the roadway.

June 29

12:35 a.m. – South Mill Street. Colfax. Burglary. Scot C. Simpson, 22, of Spokane, and Naomi H Harris, 22, of Spokane, both arrested.

12:53 a.m. – Barbee Road, Pullman. Deputy responded for a report of a stray dog.

10:41 a.m. – Cashup Flat Road, Thornton. Deputy and EMS responded for a report of an unconscious subject. The subject was determined to be sleeping.

12:51 p.m. – West Second Street and North D Street, Albion. Civil calls, Deputy responded for a civil matter.

1:34 p.m. – Dewey Road, Lamont. Trespassing complaint, Deputy requested a case.

2:55 p.m. – State Route 128; Clarkston. Animal problem. Deputy responded for a report of a possibly sick horse.

3:03 p.m. – Davis Road, Lamont. Deputy responded for a burglary alarm.

4:07 p.m. – State Route 127, LaCrosse. Property damage, Deputy responded for a report of a damaged fence.

6:04 p.m. – North Montgomery Street and East Blair Street, Uniontown. Deputy responded for a request for extra patrol in the area.

8:03 p.m. – State Route 195 and Prune Orchard Road, Colfax. Controlled substance problem, one subject cited and released.

June 30

12:14 a.m. – North Main Street and West Last Street, Colfax. Controlled substance problem, Deputy arrested David Paul Holden for third-degree driving while license is suspended and ignition interlock violation. He was cited and released.

3:17 a.m. – Wawawai Road, Colton. Assault, Deputy received a report of a possible assault.

12:09 p.m. – North Washington Street, Oakesdale. Deputy received a report of a subject who was bitten by her neighbor’s dog, Deputy assigned for investigation.

1:00 p.m. – North Mill Street, Whitman County Sheriff, Colfax. Sex offender registration. Officer requested a case number.

2:03 p.m. – State Route 23, Steptoe. Domestic dispute. Deputy arrested Elizabeth Burdett, 44, for fourth-degree assault-domestic violence.

5:39 p.m. – State Route 26 and Rock Springs Road, LaCrosse. Deputy responded for a welfare check.

8:20 p.m. – North Madison Street, Tekoa. Abnormal behavior. Deputy responded to a report of a possible threatening and contacted the reporting party.

8:49 p.m. – South Cove Road, Tekoa. Agency assistance, Deputy assisted Spokane County with locating a non-injury crash.

10:41 p.m. – East Washington Street, Farmington. Suspicious person/ circumstance. Deputy responded for a welfare, the subject was OK.

10:48 p.m. – Rock Springs Road, LaCrosse. Sick or injured animal, Deputy responded to a report of an injured cow.

July 1

7:06 a.m. – Rock Springs Road; Milepost 98, across for rock pit, LaCrosse. Animal problem, Sheriff’s office responded to a report of a dead cow possibly in the roadway.

10:47 a.m. – East Bluff Street, Palouse. Suspicious person/circumstance. Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious person.

2:23 p.m. – North Madison Street, Tekoa Care Center. Fraud, Sheriff’s Office got a call from a confused resident.

2:26 p.m. – Country Club Road, Pullman. Other law enforcement calls, received a report of a crop duster that has been circling this address since noon and gets so close to the house it makes the windows shake.

2:35 p.m. – State Route 26 Milepost 104, LaCrosse. Aircraft problem, Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an airplane crash.

2:43 p.m. – State Route 23, Steptoe. Sheriff’s Office responded to a requested for a civil standby.

4:37 p.m. – Pullman Airport Road, passing airport heading east, Pullman. Traffic violation, Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle swerving and has been braking and speeding.

5:46 p.m. – 411 North Mill Street, Whitman County Sheriff’s Office, Colfax. Found property, Deputy requested a case for found license plates.

5:52 p.m. – Cherry Creek Road and Lancaster Road, St. John. Sheriff’s Office responded to a requested for a welfare check.

6:06 p.m. – Whitman County, Pullman. Other law enforcement calls, Sheriff’s office requested a case number for a call.

6:21 p.m. – Southwest Alcora Drive, Pullman. Agency assistance. Case number requested for an agency asssit.

7:46 p.m. – Rock Springs Road; near State Route 26; in the ditch, LaCrosse. Animal problem/complaint. Sheriff’s officer responded to a report of a deceased calf in the ditch.

9:22 p.m. – 411 North Mill Street, Whitman County Sheriff’s Office, Colfax. Citizen ride. Deputy requested a case number for a citizen rider.

July 2

1:53 a.m. – State Route 195 Milepost 37, Colfax. Driving while license is suspended. Sheriff’s Office arrested and booked Paul Gabel into the Whitman County Jail for third-degree driving while license and driving on a suspended registration.

8:32 a.m. – North Madison Street, Tekoa Care Center. Communications problem, Sheriff’s Office received a call from a confused resident.

10:19 a.m. – North Mail Street, Cougar Food Mart, Colfax. Controlled substance problem. Case number generated in error.

10:31 a.m. – 804 North Main Street, Cougar Food Mart, Coflax. Warrant arrest. Sheriff’s office arrested and booked into Whitman County Jail: Michael B Russell for an outstanding warrant.

11:14 a.m. – 104 E. Front Street, St. John. Welfare check. Sheriff’s office responded to a welfare check on a possible stranded motorist.

12:39 p.m. – 411 North Mill Street, Whitman County Jail, Colfax. Transportation detail. Deputy requested a case number for a transport.

1:54 p.m. – State Route 23, Steptoe. Civil call. Sheriff’s office responded to a requested for a civil standby.

3:16 p.m. – 167 State Route 128; Red Wolf Bridge, Clarkston. Traffic violation, Deputy requested a case number for a traffice violation.

3:31 p.m. – 411 North Mill Street, Whitman County Jail, Colfax. Theft. Sheriff’s Office received a report that a subject had some mail taken while he was incarcerated.

4:22 p.m. – State Route 23, Steptoe. Civil calls, Sheriff’s office received a reprot of a civil issue.

4:24 p.m. – State Route 26 Milepost 98; area. LaCrosse. Welfare check, Sheriff’s office responded to a request for a welfare check on a subject.

4:25 p.m. – State Route 23, Steptoe. Suspicious person/circumstance. Sheriff’s office responded toa report of suspicious circumstance.

4:41 p.m. – West Railroad Avenue, on John Wayne Trail, Tekoa. Suspicious person/circumstance. Sheriff’s office responded to a report of a suspicious couple with a small child on the John Wayne Trail.

4:48 p.m. – North Madison Street, Tekoa Care Center. Communications problem. Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a confused resident. The staff was contacted by the deputy and made aware of the situation.

5:34 p.m. – Granite Road, Boyer Park and Marina, Colfax. Hit-and-run crash. Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of someone hitting a vehicle and then driving off.

7:09 p.m. – McNeilly Road, Colfax. Fatal accident. Sheriff’s Office responded to a three-wheeler fatality accident.

8:07 p.m. – Wawawai Road Milepost 32 area, Clarkston. Stray animals. Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of 6-7 black angus cows in the middle of the road. Reporting person didn’t see tags or anything else identifying.

9:28 p.m. – North Madison Street, Tekoa Care Center. Communications problem, Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a confused resident.

10:13 p.m. – 330 North Madison Street, Tekoa Care Center. Sex offense, Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a sex offense. Deputy assigned for investigation.

10:47 p.m. – 26068 Wawawai Road, Nisqually John Landing, Clarkston. Other law enforcement, Sheriff’s Office requested a case number for a call.

10:57 p.m. – North Crosby Street, Tekoa Trestle. Suspicious person/ circumstance, Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of suspicious lights on the trestle.

July 3

6:36 a.m. – Wawawai Pullman Road and Klemgard Road, Pullman. Traffic hazard. Sheriff’s Office received a report from a person who said there’s a good size tree branch blocking one of the lanes of traffic and it’s on a blind corner. Caller said it’s about a half-hour before the Klemgard Road. Roadway was clear upon deputy arrival.

1:15 p.m. – Oakesdale Road, Oakesdale. Burglary/intrusion alarm. Sheriff’s Office responded to a residential burglary alarm.

1:47 p.m. – Scharpenberg Road, off State Route 26 coming into LaCrosse. Abandoned vehicle. Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle.

2:39 p.m. – Palouse Albion Road, Pullman. Communications problem, Sheriff’s Office received a 911 open line call. Busy signal on call back. Determined to be a phone line issue.

8:07 p.m. – State Route 27, up Tekoa Mountain, Tekoa. Sheriff’s Office responded to an ATV injury accident.

8:48 p.m. — Oakesdale Road and Kilpatrick Road, Oakesdale. Disabled vehicle. Sheriff’s Office responded to a report that a person was attempting to park on the shoulder and went to far. The vehicle is on the edge and tipping over. Reporting person safely out of the vehicle but needs a tow to get the vehicle out.

9:39 p.m. – McKenzie Road, Palouse. Welfare check. Sheriff’s Office responded to a requested for a welfare check.

9:53 p.m. – 330 North Madison Street, Tekoa Care Center. Abnormal behavior. Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a resident and threatened to stab person in the stomach.

July 4

9:05 a.m. – 330 North Madison Street, Tekoa Care Center. Other law enforcement calls. Sheriff’s office requested a case number for a call.

9:45 a.m. – 411 North Mill Street, Whitman County Sheriff, Colfax. Citizen ride. Sheriff’s Office requested a case number for a citizen rider.

2:55 p.m. – Steptoe Canyon Road, 3 miles up, Colton. Crash. Unknown injury. Sheriff’s Office responded to an unknown injury accident.

3:31 p.m. – Pullman Airport Road, Floyds Panic alarm, Pullman. Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary alarm.

4:22 p.m. – Granite Road, Lower Granite Dam, Colfax. Agency Assistance. Sheriff’s Office responded to a requested for a welfare check on an overdue boater.

4:25 p.m. – State Route 23, Steptoe. Civil calls, Sheriff’s Office responded to a request for civil standby.

8:22 p.m. – 2 State Route 195, Colton. Stray animals. Cows in person’s backyard, unknown who they belong to. Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of cattle in yard.
