Re: De-annexation of the old City Dump on Cove Rd.
Notice of a public hearing to be held Aug. 8, 2022 at 6:30 P.M. in the council chambers at Tekoa City Hall is herby given.
The property described as:
“A tract of land partly in the southeast quarter of Section 12, Township 20 north, Range 45, E.W.M., and partly in the southwest quarter of Section 7, Township 20 north, Range 46, E.W.M., more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of said Section12; thence west along the east-west center line of said Section 12 a distance of 100 feet; thence south parallel to the east line of said Section 12 a distance of 731.4 feet; thence south 82 degrees 15 minutes east 464 feet, more or less to the westerly right of way line of the County road; thence northeasterly along said westerly right of way line of said County road 825 feet, more or less, to the north line of said southwest quarter of said Section 7, 750 feet, more or less to the point of beginning. and located on Cove Rd. and known as the, “Old City Dump”, was sold to Harold and Agnes Clem, July 17, 1979. The property was not de-annexed by the City of Tekoa at that time. The City of Tekoa is now seeking to de-annex this parcel, which is unencumbered by buildings, residences, easements or any rights-of-way through De-Annexation Ordinance 876. Public comment is welcome and encouraged at the aforementioned council meeting.
