Haunted Palouse first evening of haunting this Friday
PALOUSE– Haunted Palouse is happening this year starting Friday, Oct. 21. The events will run this Friday, Saturday, Friday Oct. 28 and Saturday Oct. 29.
The event is a community fundraiser with four nights of Halloween festivities, including two indoor haunted houses and an outdoor venue. There will be one exterior zombie hunt, and a tarot reading at the library, as well as vendors and shirt sales along the local store front of Palouse.
“Haunted Palouse has been happening for 19 years now. With a 2 year hiatus,” said one of the event coordinators, Alexa Becket-Bonner, noting that all the funds go to the community. “There will be some street entertainment intermittently,” she added.
Sales for tickets will be happening in the drive-through of the Palouse Branch of Banner bank, located at 150 North Bridge, only on performance nights. Sales begin at 7 p.m. each night, and end at 10 p.m.
Tickets are $35 per person, which will get you a ticket for each venue. Only cash is accepted. No one under the age of 12 will be admitted, Becket-Bonner explained, noting that everyone who attends should wear clothing for being outside in the cold. “As well as close-toed shoes that are appropriate for walking in a dark zombie infested lane,” she said.
There will be 3 tickets, which can be used for two haunted houses and a hay ride, attendees can use the tickets however they choose.
With extra cash attendees can buy food and beverages, including burgers, pizza, home-made goods, and hot beverages.
