Rosalia Hosts annual Veterans Day Program

ROSALIA – Rosalia Veterans Park will host their annual Veterans Day Program Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.

The speaker this year is a Rosalia Alumni from the class of 1976. MSgt. Dick Mattausch (ret.) He served in Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Currently he is the VFW Commander of A & T Mattausch Post 11326 in Cheney and Spokane. He also is involved in the Veterans Honor Guard.

The Rosalia Mayor, Lee Root will do a welcome. Pastor Mike Hill will give the invocation. Bruce Henning is in charge of Taps being played. There will be a rifle team to do the 3 shots fired.

Rosalia Boy Scout Troop #588 will be presenting the Flag Ceremony, and will retire flags no longer able to fly. Flags can be placed in the "RedBox," located on the Rosalia Library's Porch. Clay Gehring is the Scout Leader along with other parents.

The Veteran's Park is right behind the Texaco Visitor Station. It is kept up by many volunteers in memory of our Veterans.
