Timberwolves will play Lakeside (Plummer) Oct. 28 in Rosalia
ROSALIA — Tekoa-Rosalia has been the victim of injuries and illnesses to its players over the course of the season, causing multiple cancellations and rescheduling of games. This forced Tekoa-Rosalia to play four games in 16 days from Sept. 29-Oct. 14, and recently involved a canceled game against DeSales high school of Walla Walla that was scheduled to take place Oct. 21.
Tekoa-Rosalia’s Homecoming game was scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 28 in Rosalia against Yakama Nation Tribal High School.
This time, the roster issues came from Yakama Nation Tribal, as they had to cancel the game due to not having a full roster available.
No specific reasons were given for the lack of available players, but the Eagles only had five eligible players to suit up against the Timberwolves, leaving them unable to field a full 8-man team.
The Tekoa-Rosalia game will continue as planned, taking place at 7 p.m. Oct. 28in Rosalia, now against the Lakeside High School Knights from Plummer, Idaho.
This is the second Idaho team that the Timberwolves have had to schedule in three weeks, with Kendrick High School stepping in to play Tekoa-Rosalia instead of the originally-scheduled Soap Lake on Oct. 14.
Tekoa-Rosalia currently stands at 1-6 on the season and 1-5 in league play.
