COLFAX – The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls from Oct. 25 to Oct. 30

Oct. 25

8:16 a.m.- Union Street, Colton. Deputy requested a case for a DARE presentation.

8:34 a.m.- Wawawai Road, Colton. Undersheriff responded to a report of a traffic offense possibly involving a weapon, and contacted all involved parties.

10:10 a.m.- Steptoe Street, Colton. Deputy requested a case for a DARE presentation.

11:52 a.m.- Cutler Lautenschlager Road, Endicott. Deputy responded to a report of an accidental discharge of a firearm.

2:59 p.m.- Wawawai Road, Colton. Deputy responded to a report of loose cows damaging a yard.

3:37 p.m.- North Mill Street, Colfax. Sheriff’s Front Office registered a sex offender.

3:41 p.m.- North 3rd Street, Garfield. Undersheriff requested a case.

5:14 p.m.- SR 195 and Old Albion Road, Pullman. Michael T. Randall, a 47 year old male out of Clarkston was arrested for DWLS and booked into the Whitman County Jail.

5:53 p.m.- SR 27 and SR 271 Oakesdale, wanted person Kenneth L. Hime, a 43 year male out of Oakesdale was arrested and booked into the Whitman County Jail.

11:42 p.m.- SR 195 MP 35, Colfax. Gavino A. Nava, a 26 year old male out of Moscow was cited and released for a Traffic violation.

Oct. 26

1:24 a.m.- East James Street and East Poplar Street, Colfax. Deputy stopped a vehicle for failing to stay in their lane.

8:27 a.m.- North Mill Street, Colfax. The Sheriff’s Office requested a case number.

9:51 a.m.- West Liberty Street, St. John. Deputy assisted the Spokane PD.

11:42 a.m.- North Madison Street, Tekoa. Deputy received an APS referral.

11:58 a.m.- North Morton Street, Colfax. Deputy requested a case number for DARE.

11:59 a.m.- North Morton Street, Jennings Elementary School, Colfax. Deputy requested a case number for DARE.

12:59 p.m.- West Elizabeth Street, Tekoa. Deputy received a report of two cats living in a house with no electricity.

4:25 p.m.- West Marjorie Court, St. John. Deputy received a report of a possible credit card theft, and was assigned to investigate.

6:39 p.m.- North Madison Street, Tekoa. Deputy received a report of two subjects yelling.

7:39 p.m.- East 5th Street, LaCrosse. Deputy responded to a report of a domestic dispute.

11:18 p.m.- North Madison Street, Tekoa. Deputy received a report of an injured person, EMS responded and transported one patient to the hospital.

Oct. 27

6:57 a.m.- SR 195 and Armstrong Road, Pullman. Deputy received a report of a semi-truck leaking fuel, the Deputy responded and stopped the truck. It was determined the truck was leaking rainwater not fuel.

8:10 a.m.- North 3rd Street, Garfield Palouse Middle School, Garfield. Deputy requested a case number for DARE.

8:26 a.m.- South Montgomery Street, Uniontown. Deputy recieved a report of a stolen wallet, and was assigned to investigate.

8:54 a.m.- Colfax. Deputy requested a case number for a transport.

9:54 a.m.- Wilbourn Road, Pullman. Deputy responded to a report of a disabled semi.

10:09 a.m.- Thorn Creek Road, Genesee. Deputy received a report of a cow in the ditch.

11:02 a.m.- East 2nd Street, Rosalia. Deputy received a request for a welfare check.

11:22 a.m.- Kittitas Co. Deputy revieced a request for contact.

11:38 a.m.- South Josephine Avenue, Rosalia High School, Rosalia. Deputy requested a case number for DARE.

2:41 p.m.- North Madison Street, Tekoa. Deputy received an APS referral.

2:59 p.m.- North Broadway Street, Tekoa Elementary School, Tekoa. Deputy requested a case number for DARE.

5:33 p.m.- South Bryan Boulevard, St. John. Zachary Vvonbiela, 35 was arrested on a warrant, and booked into the Whitman County Jail.

6:09 p.m.- Colton. Deputy received a report of a juvenile that ran off after getting in trouble.

7:28 p.m.- West Marjorie Court, St. John. Deputy received an APS referral.

8:25 p.m.- South Bryant Boulevard, St. John. Deputy received a request for a welfare check.

8:55 p.m.- North Madison Street, Tekoa. Deputy received a report of a person taking another person’s medication.

10:45 p.m.- North Mill Street, Whitman County Sheriff, Colfax. Deputy requested a case number.

Oct. 28

12:42 a.m.- East Front Street, St. John. Devan Hannus, 24, of St. John was arrested on a citizen dispute, and booked into the Whitman County Jail.

7:55 a.m.- East 5th Street, LaCrosse. Deputy responded to a domestic dispute, and determined it was verbal only.

9:14 a.m.- Rosalia. Deputy responded to a report of a suspicious subject in the area the night before.

9:23 a.m.- West Marjorie Court, St. John. Deputy responded to an APS referral.

10:13 a.m.- Main Street, Lamont. Deputy requested a case for a DARE presentation.

10:23 a.m.- East 5th Street, LaCrosse. Deputy responded to a domestic dispute, and determined the altercation was verbal only.

10:43 a.m.- SR 27, Pullman. Deputy responded to a theft of political signs.

11:37 a.m.-SR 23, St. John. Deputy responded to a commercial burglary alarm.

12:55 p.m.- North Madison Street, Tekoa. Deputy responded to a 911 call, and determined there was no emergency.

4:27 p.m.- Wilbourn Road, Pullman. Deputy responded to a 911 call, and determined there was no emergency.

6:23 p.m.- John Henley Road, Hay. Deputy responded to a report of a possible burglary, and determined there was no problem.

6:51 p.m.- West Fairview Street, Colfax. Deputy responded to a report of a subject being released from the hospital with nowhere to go.

8 p.m.- North Mill Street, Colfax. Deputy requested a case for a citizen ride.

8:06 p.m.- Shields Road, Colfax. Deputy, Fire, and EMS responded to a one vehicle roll over. No patient transport.

9:43 p.m.- SR 195 MP 41, Colfax. Christoph Sams, 48, of Deer Park was cited and released for DWLS.

10:18 p.m.- South Summit Avenue, Rosalia. Deputy responded to a report of a group of people physically fighting.

11:09 p.m.- North Madison Street, Tekoa. Deputy responded to a 911 call, and determined there was no emergency.

Oct. 29

1:59 a.m.- South Whitman Avenue, Rosalia. Deputy received an anonymous noise complaint.

2:12 a.m.- South Whitman Avenue, Rosalia. Deputy responded to a report of a domestic dispute and a possibly intoxicated driver.

7:46 a.m.- Leistner Road and SR 27, Palouse. Deputy responded to a report of a subject passed out in a vehicle. The Deputy checked the are and did not locate the subject or the vehicle.

8:08 a.m.- South Main Street, Colfax. The Chaplain provided a citizen with a courtesy transport to Spokane.

2:26 p.m.- West Pearl Street, Oakesdale. Deputy responded to a 911 call, and determiend the call was a phone line issue.

2:56 p.m.- Johnson Road, Pullman. Deputy responded to a report of a disable trailer.

5:00 p.m.- North Main Street, LaCrosse. Deputy received a report of motorcycles almost hitting a subject on a bicycle.

6:14 p.m.- North Cedar Street and SR 195, Colfax. Deputy and the Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire.

7:45 p.m.- North Main Street, Colfax. Deputy responded to a road rage incident, all involved parties were contacted.

8:01 p.m.- Wawawai Road, Clarkston. Kyle M. Stevens, 32, of Clarkston was arrested on a domestic dispute and booked into the Whitman County Jail.

8:14 p.m.- Scholz Road, Steptoe. Deputy responded to a report of a vagrant in the area. Deputy contacted the subject who advised he was just passing through and did not need any assistance.

9:07 p.m.- North Mill Street, Colfax. Deputy requested a case for a citizen ride.

9:12 p.m.- West Elizabeth Street, Tekoa. Deputy responded to a report of possibly stolen cats.
