TEKOA—Tekoa High School had a perceived lockdown Friday, Nov. 18 when law enforcement were outside the school.
Tekoa High School Principal, Yolanda Bone stated that it was not really a lockdown, “I saw some law enforcement outside, so had the teachers keep the students in the Ag building,” Bone said, noting that once she talked to the law enforcement they said that there was nothing to worry about. Bone stated that she then let the students go back to their normal schedules.
The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that there was no record of a lockdown at Tekoa High School.
