The Tekoa Volunteer Fire Association raised approximately $19,000 in support of the community swimming pool and other local needs during a gala celebration Friday night, Nov. 18, in the Tekoa Community Center. The event included dinner, and a live and silent auction. Donovan Chase, co-owner of C&Ds in Tekoa and a volunteer fireman, served as emcee. He was presented a T-shirt sporting the words, "with a BODY LIKE THIS, who needs HAIR," for his efforts.
