COLFAX — Whitman County District Court reported the following criminal conviction sentences from Dec. 2-13:

• Justin N. Jorgens, 40, resisting arrest. Sentenced to 90 days in jail, 60 suspended. Defendant must serve 30 days in jail, with credit for 20 days served. Fined a criminal concvition fee of $43. The defendant must have no criminal violations of law or alcohol-related infractions, and is ordered to serve 12 months supervised probation. Probation may be terminated when substance use disorder (SUD) evaluation and the defendant is compliant with treatment obligations. The defendant must obtain a substance use disorder evaluation from a Washington State approved agency. The defendant does not need to complete a new SUD evaluation if one has been completed while most recently on probation. Defendant must file a copy of the evaluation within 30 days, and begin any recommended treatment or education within 60 days with proof of timely enrollment and completion filed.

• Drew Borbe, negligent driving first degree. Sentenced to 90 days in jail, 89 suspended. A fine of $1,000 with $1,000 suspended. Serve a total of 1 days in jail with credit for 0 days served. Unsuspended jail of 1 days may be converted to 8 hours of community service. The defendant does not have to pay a fine. Must pay a supervised probation fee of 600 dollars, and a criminal conviction fee of 43 dollars, at a total of 643 dollars to be paid by Oct. 31, 2024. Defendant shall make minimum monthly payments of $50 starting on Feb. 1, 2023. Defendant may perform community service in lieu of 600 dollars of fines t o be credited at the rate of $15 an hour and must be approved in advance by the probation department. The defendant must complete community service by May, 31, 2023. The defendant must not do any criminal violation of law or alcohol related infractions. The defendant must be under supervised for 24 months. Unsupervised probation for last 12 months if all essential requirements of the sentence have been completed. The defendant must obtain an expanded alcohol assessment from a Washington State approved agency and file a copy of the evaluation/assessment by Dec. 30, 2022. Must begin any recommended/appropriate substance use disorder treatment or education within 45 days and file proof of timely enrollment and completion. Must attend a DUI victim impact panel within 3 months. Defendant must not use or possess any non-prescribed controlled substances or illegal drugs, use or possess marijuana, submit to random alcohol and drug testing. Defendant may petition for probation after 12 months and after successful completion of all terms of the judgement and sentence.

• Abigail Thompson, negligent driving first degree. Sentenced to 90 days in jail with 88 days suspended, and a fine of 1,000 with 1,000 suspended. The defendant must serve a total of 2 days in jail with credit for 0 days served. Unsuspended jail of 2 days may be converted to 24 hours community service. Fines in the total of $732.75 paid by Oct. 31, 2024. Defendant must make minimum monthly payments of $50 starting Jan. 1, 2023. Defendant may perform community service in lieu of $600 of fines to be credited at the rate of $15 hour and must be approved in advance by the probation department. Community service must be completed by May, 31, 2023. Defendant must not have any criminal violation of law or alcohol related infractions. Supervised probation for 24 months. Unsupervised probation for last 12 months if all essential requirements of the sentence have been completed. Defendant must obtain an expanded alcohol assessment from a Washington State approved agency and file a copy of the evaluation/assessment by Dec. 30, 2022. Defendant must attend DUI Victim Impact Panel within 3 months. Defendant may earn up to 5 hours community service credit by attending any jurisdiction’s DUI or Drug Court hearings or programs. Defendant may earn up to 10 hours community service credit by serving as a designated driver for another, 1 hour for each completed ride. Defendant may petition for early termination of probation after 12 months and after successful completion of all terms of this judgement and sentence.
