Colfax Small Business Incubator accepting applications

Tenants would move in early to mid-summer

COLFAX — Colfax Downtown Association is now accepting applications for their Small Business Incubator in downtown Colfax, at 203 North Main Street, the deadline for applications is March, 3, 2023.

The project is fast-moving, and the building is undergoing plans and renovations, according to the online application. Details are still being finalized, because the project has to move so quickly.

The Association is offering two restaurant leases, as well as up to four office spaces for various business industries to lease. The incubator is the ideal location for start-ups and existing businesses to operate their business out of.

The deadline for renovations is June 1, 2023, so anticipated tenants would move in early to mid-summer of 2023.

There will be free educational training provided in April and May to selected tenants from hired professionals. These professionals will help business owners become successful in their business endeavors.

The training will cover social media marketing, accounting, restaurant management and rules and regulations, as well as business planning and development.

The offices will be roughly 100-150 square feet in size, and estimated costs is roughly $500 a month with utilities included. The exact cost of the monthly rent will be determined when the Downtown Association has the architectural drawings back. There will be a shared conference room. Tenants will need to supply their own office furnishing and supplies.

For the restaurant leases the association is unable to determine the rate of square footage without having their architectural floor plans back yet, and the lease rates are still in determination. The association will be providing kitchen appliances for the selected tenants to use.
