Serving Whitman County since 1877
COLFAX—Whitman County Food Pantries, supported by the Community Action Center in Pullman, served 3362 families last month, approximately 6200 individuals, stated Executive Director of the Council on Aging and Human Services, Paige Collins.
Collins stated that they were able to serve more families in need than ever before. Last July, they served about 1500 families, and then in August about 2100. The increase has now continued to grow to over 3,000 families each month.
“We have tons of food, and it appears more resources will be coming our way in the next six months or so, including more funding for meat and produce,” Collins said.
