Kiwanis Club hosts clothing drive for school district

COLFAX — The Colfax Kiwanis club is doing a clothing drive for Colfax School District throughout the month.

Coordinator Sara Golden, explained that the clothing drive is in case accidents happen, “everything from mud puddles, painting and art, food spills, you name it,” she said.

Golden explained that they want to make sure that parents do not have to bring their kids a change of clothing during the day.

According to Golden, Jennings Elementary School Counselor Megan Long has requested new in-package underwear for ages 4-10.

There will be collection boxes at businesses throughout Colfax, including Pearson Farm and Fence, Rolling Hills Eye Care, Ackermans, McGregor, and Woodridge.

“Be on the lookout for the collection boxes to come out soon,” Golden said.
