Timberwolves lose double header against Patriots

TEKOA - The Tekoa-Rosalia varsity softball team lost Saturday's away conference games against Richland's Liberty Christian by scoring 25-9 and 12-0.

Liberty Christin led in the first inning, gaining 7 points.

Tekoa followed in the second inning, gaining 1 point, but by then, the Patriots were up another 2 points.

The Patriots gained another 3 points in the next inning only to kick it into gear in the fourth with 13 more points won.

The Timberwolves played their best inning yet in the fourth and were up by 8 points.

In the second game of the head-to-head match against Liberty Christin, Liberty Christin gained points throughout the entire game.

The game lasted only a few innings, similar to the previous game that morning.

To kick off the game, the Patriots rounded bases, scoring many hits and runs, giving them 4 points at the start.

The Patriots would follow a 2-point-4-point pattern throughout the rest of the game.

By the third inning, Liberty Christin was up by 10 points, with Tekoa still at 0 points.

The fourth inning came around, and Liberty Christin was up at 12 total points for the game.

Tekoa's Timberwolves will have a chance for redemption at their next game against the Hornets.

The away game will occur at Inchelium on Thursday, March 30, at 4 p.m.
