COLFAX — Whitman County District Court reported the following criminal conviction sentences from March 23:

March 23

• Nicolas R. Duenaz, was found guilty of assault in the fourth degree. Therefore, the defendant is sentenced to 364 days of jail, 364 suspended, and restitution of $18,270. The defendant has supervised probation for 24 months. Defendant must not have criminal violations of law or alcohol-related infractions. No alcoholic beverages, non-prescribed controlled drugs, cannabis or cannabis products. No contact with Mattia Ferrante, and pay resitution prior to probation ending. Review hearing scheduled for July 14, 2023 at 9 a.m. in the District Court Courtroom to verify the remaining amount of restitution.

• Amber Stately was found guilty of DWLS third degree. Therefore, the defendant is sentenced to 90 days of jail, 90 suspended. Supervised probation for 12 months, unsupervised as soon as all essential requirements of the sentence have been completed. Probation to terminate upon reinstatement of driver’s license. Defendant must complete 12 hours community service within the next 120 days.

• Tyler Reynolds was found guilty of theft in the third degree.. Therefore, the defendant is sentenced to a deferred sentence for 12 months, 60 days jail, 50 unsuspended, and a fine of $500, $500 suspended. The defendant has a total of $343 in fines. $300 of this total is converted to community service at the rate of $16 an hour which must be completed by July 31, 2023, with proof of completion proved to the probation department. Supervised probation for 12 months. 1 day of jail may be converted t o12 hours community service within the next 2 months, no less than 6 hours each month.

• Melody Behan, was found guilty of theft in the third degree. Therefore, is sentenced to 9 months deferred sentence, 60 days jail, 59 suspended, and a fine of $500, $500 suspended. The defendant has a total of $470.50 in fines, $270.50 as restitution to Walmart. $300 of this total is converted to community service at the rate of $16 an hour to be completed by July 31, 2023 with proof of completion provided to the probation department. Supervised probation for 9 months. 1 day of jail may be converted to 12 hours community service within the next 2 months, no less than 6 hours each month.

• Soren Edmunds, was found guilty of theft in the third degree. Therefore, the defendant is sentenced to a 24 months deferred sentence, 60 days of jail, 55 suspened, and a fine of $500, $500 suspended. The defendant must serve 5 days of jail with credit for none served, and a total fine of $578.25. $300 of this total is converted to community service at the rate of $16 an hour which must be completed by July 31, 2023 with proof of completion provided to the probation department. Supervised probation for 12 months. Attend a theft prevention course, and begin within 45 days with filed proof of timely enrollment and completion. 2 days of jail must be served consecutively but 3 days may be converitble to 24 hours community service within the next 5 months, no less than 8 hours each month.
