Friends of Hospice 2023 Grant Awards

COLFAX — The Friends of Hospice have announced their 2023 Grant Awards, a total of $19,250 in awards to four local agencies to support their palliative care, end-of-life, and bereavement projects.

“The services provided by these non-profit agencies extend the efforts of the Friends of Hospice in supporting end-of-life comfort and care,” Friends of Hospice Board President Ken Carper said, adding that they are pleased to recognize the valuable contributions the organizations make to the community.

Awardees included Circles of Caring Adult Day Health with $5,000 in funding to support daily activities and programming.

Palouse Paws with $4,750 to instate additional pet handler teams serving patients receiving palliative and end-of-life care.

$5,000 was awarded to Pullman Regional Hospital to support end-of-life education in the community, bereavement supplies, and comfort items for palliative care and end-of-life patients.

Willow Center for Grieving Children received $5,000 to support Camp Erin for youth grieving the death of significant people.
