Colton local takes on Palouse Empire Fair Manager position

COLTON - The Palouse Empire Fairgrounds welcomed new Fair Manager, Ashley Reisenauer, of Colton, just two short months ago.

Reisenauer will assume the duties of coordinating and planning various events and happenings at the fairgrounds and reports to be very excited about the new opportunity.

"I think I learn something new every day," she said. "I started in mid-march, and honestly, life presents you with opportunities, and life presented me with this opportunity, and I am excited to see where it takes me."

Reisenauer went through a series of interview rounds before presenting herself in front of the panel.

Reisenauer received two bachelor's degrees in Equine Science and Agriculture Business. Following her undergrad graduation, Reisenauer elected to complete her master's degree in Animal Science. She previously attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.

"A few people reached out to me, and I saw the job position online. I was ready for a change in my career and thought it would be a neat opportunity to see what it could be," she noted. "I had I have been out of school for about four years, and this community has always meant so much to me and has always helped feed my passion since day one. It's natural to come back and want to make a difference."
