Meeting will still take place, despite cancellation
PULLMAN — The Palouse Hills Muzzleloaders event that was scheduled to happen Saturday, June 25, has been cancelled this year.
Last year’s event saw rifle and pistol shooting, as well as tomahawk and knife throwing, among other outdoors events and activities.
Last year, there was also a Dutch oven cook off, archery course, frying pan toss, and peewee and jackpot events.
The event was all about fun, as well as competition. Awards and extra points were given out to those who showed up dressed in the time period of the events that were taking place.
Most people who came and competed in the event camped during the weekend, experiencing a few days away from the stressors of everyday work life, and enjoying their time outdoors with others who shared the same passions as they do.
Although the event is cancelled, Tony Roberts, President of Palouse Hills Muzzleloaders, says that there will still be a meeting June 25 at the rendezvous sight. He welcomes anyone to come and attend the meeting, and welcomes anyone wanting to “burn some powder.”
