Jim Pinter of Spokane, Washington, passed away at the age of 85 with his loving wife Nora by his side. He was born in Clinton, Iowa, to Marion James and Irene Norma Pinter on April 22, 1938. He graduated from Stanwood High School as co-salutatorian then enlisted in the Air Force in 1955. While stationed at Spokane Fairchild Air Force Base he met and married the love of his life, Nora Ellen Kincaid, they were married for 65 years. Jim and Nora lived in Davenport, Iowa, for a few years then returned to the Spokane area. Jim attended Kinman Business University, graduating with a BA in business and worked as an accountant and property manager.
Jim accepted Jesus as his Savior, became a Gideon with The Gideons International and served as treasurer for many years. He enjoyed daily Bible study and attending church. Jim was a train enthusiast with an extensive collection and elaborate layouts. Jim loved spending time with his family and is survived by his loving wife Nora and his children Randy (Kathy) Pinter, Dianne (Hajime) Fukagawa, Linda (Bob) Annis and Debbie (Jiggs) Anderson, 11 grandsons, 13 great grandchildren and half-brothers Terry, George, Steve and John and stepsisters Martha Thurston and Patsy Benhart. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Marge Pinter and Irene and John Cain, half-brothers Marion James and Tim and stepsister Betty.
