Last month for Summer reading program

COLFAX — August is the last month for Whitman County Libraries’ summer reading program.

Participants can stop by their local library branch to share or complete their online Beanstack reading log for a chance to win prizes by Thursday, August 31.

Kids 11 and under must read or be read to for 10 hours to receive a free book and pizza certificate and enter into a county-wide drawing for a Samsung Galaxy A8 tablet. Teenagers aged 12 to 17 reading three books and completing three activities can receive a free book, a water bottle sticker, and a bookmark. All teens that meet their summer reading will also be entered into a county-wide drawing for a $50 Amazon Gift Card and a Samsung Galaxy A8 tablet.

Adults who have also been reading that have read three books this summer will be entered into a county-wide drawing for a Samsung Galaxy A8 tablet and one of two $25 local business gift cards.
