Welcome to the new school year: LaCrosse

The following letter was to be included in the “Back to School 2023-2024” special section included in this issue. Due to time constraints it was not able to be included by press time.

We wish to welcome all of our LaCrosse students and their families to the 2023-2024 school year. We are excited and look forward to seeing everyone after some time off for the summer. We are finishing our Summer School program as well as our Summer Rocketry Camp. Our gym remodel which includes new locker rooms, weight rooms, restrooms, training room, and storage is complete and ready for use. We have two new staff members. Colby Starring, from Ritzville and Waitsburg, is our new secondary science teacher and Tami Schwartz is our new Office Manager.

With the addition of Colby Starring this has allowed us to open up more College in the High School class offerings as well as some Running Start classes. We also have added a Leadership class. With our Hagen Grant we have purchased more equipment for our shop classes. Our elementary will also have their own Greenhouse that comes with our Outdoor Learning Grant. Registration starts the week of August 14th. Our Back To School night is scheduled for Augusts 24th. Our first day of school for students is August 29th.
