COLFAX - The Colfax High School Class of 1973 had its 50th reunion earlier this summer with a three-day event the weekend of Friday, June 23.
Class member Andrea Lyman said that out of the original class of 64 people, about half attended, along with their partners and spouses.
The group met on Friday in Pullman at The Lumberyard Food Hall for a no-host dinner, Lyman said.
"Many of us had not seen each other ever since our high school graduation," Lyman said, "Ot was a long time."
"It was really fun to reconnect and hear what people are doing with their lives."
Lyman noted that one classmate came from Thailand, where he is spending his retirement with his wife.
The group also met on Saturday and Sunday, she said.
Not all classmates were able to attend.
"We do have 10 who had passed," Lyman said.
On Saturday, the group met for golfing, and some enjoyed the downtown shops of Colfax, with a catered dinner at the Colfax Methodist Church hall later that evening.
Lyman said the dinner was lovely, with a pork loin entree, other sides and a shortcake dessert.
In addition, Lyman said classmate Wally Toombs was recognized and thanked for his service in the armed forces by Nancy Jones Woods.
She presented him with a handmade quilt she made in honor of his service.
Sunday ended the group's reunion with brunch in Schmuck Park.
"We just really enjoyed ourselves," Lyman said, noting that afterward, several talked about possibly having a get-together again sooner than later.
