PRH Urologist 26th annual prostate cancer screening

PULLMAN — Pullman Regional Hospital’s Palouse Urology Center Urologist Dr. John Keizur is hosting his 26th annual prostate cancer screening and exam clinic on Tuesday, Sept. 19, from 8 a.m. to noon at Palouse Urology Center, 825 Southeast Bishop Boulevard Suite 101, in Pullman.

“This is an annual reminder to stay on top of your health,” Dr. Keizer said, “When it comes to your health and urology, don’t put it off,” he added, noting that if over the age of 50, a simple blood test and exam can mean early detection of prostate cancer. “Early detection almost always means better outcomes,” he said.

Dr. Keizur founded Palouse Urology in 1996 and is a board-certified urologist treating children, adolescents, and adults for common problems like bladder and kidney infections, kidney stones, difficulties urinating or incontinence. Dr. Keizur treats erectile dysfunction, low testosterone and other complex urological conditions.

Dr. Keizer is utilizing new minimally invasive medical technology for prostate procedures using a robotically controlled water jet. Aquablation Therapy was introduced at Pullman Regional Hospital in February of 2023 and is an advanced, minimally invasive Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) surgical treatment that uses the power of water delivered with robotic precision. “This is a great option for patients with very enlarged prostates,” Dr. Keizur said, noting that it uses a heat-free water jet controlled by robotic technology to remove prostate tissue.
