Jacob Andrew Humphries passed away unexpectedly at his residence on the morning of September 14, 2023, in Pullman, Washington at the age of 22.

Jacob was born on April 3, 2001, in Macon, Georgia. He was from Jones County, Georgia, where he grew up in Haddock and Gray. He went to school in Jones County and was a graduate of the class of 2019 at Jones County High School.

After graduating, Jacob continued to live and work in Gray then Statesboro, Georgia for a short time before returning home. In the spring of 2021, he decided to travel across the country to Idaho to be with friends. It was there that he began working in property management. This would lead him on a journey all over the country from Idaho to Washington, Iowa, Texas and back to Washington. Most recently he was living and working in Pullman, Washington.

Jacob loved life, friends, and good times with friends. He was an avid gamer. He loved animals, particularly cats. He never met a stranger. His smile was infectious and his laugh unforgettable. He believed in being kind and fair to others. He left his impression on so many people.

Jacob is survived by his heartbroken parents, John and Jennifer Humphries; his Papa and Nana, Tom and Diana Gunter; his Grandpa and Grandma, Bill and Mary Jump. This was Jacob's immediate family that all had a significant hand in raising the fine young man that he was. He is survived by his grandmother, Gayle Humphries; uncle, Jason Gunter (Shelia); aunt, Lisa Elrod (Brandon); uncle, Earl Humphries (Alane), and their families. Also special in his life was his girlfriend, Jordyn Ruhl, that he said he would marry one day.

A memorial service may be planned at a later date. Please allow the family time to grieve this sudden, tragic loss in private.
