Win home game Tuesday and away game Thursday
COLFAX - The Colfax Bulldogs have started their last third of the season with decisive victories, pushing their RPI rankings, as well as district standings.
Tuesday, Oct. 3, the Bulldogs hosted the Asotin Panthers. The match lasted three sets, with Colfax taking them all.
On Thursday, Oct. 5, Colfax traveled to Deer Park to take on the Stags. This match also lasted three sets, all victorious for Colfax.
With the two wins, the Bulldogs moved to 6-1 in league play. Their only league loss was to the Lind-Ritzville-Sprague Broncos, who are currently first in the district with a 5-0 league record.
The Broncos are also ranked second overall in the WIAA RPI standings, Colfax sits at #10.
The home match against the Panthers was quick work for the Bulldogs, winning the game with excellent serving and offensive attacks.
Set scores for the match were all in favor of Colfax, 25-8, 25-13, 25-11.
In the game, Ava Swan had seven kills, and went 17-17 on serving in the match. She also added 15 digs to her seasons total.
Hailey Demler had 16 kills, and Lauryn York had 22 assists.
The game against the Stags was played in Deer Park. Colfax head coach Megan Dorman described the environment as loud and intense, but the Bulldogs still pulled away with the victory.
Set scores for the match were: 25-16, 25-20, 25-23.
In this game, Swan had nine kills and 13 digs. York had 28 assists, seven aces, and 10 digs.
Hope Fulfs also had five kills and seven aces for the Bulldogs.
Gracie Bofto also had a perfect serving day, going 12-12 on serves in the game.
