Late season push underway for 1B District sports

ST. JOHN — With just under a month away from the 1B/2B WIAA State volleyball championships in Yakima, the 1B schools are making their last minute pushes to earn as many victories as possible.

For the St. John-Endicott-LaCrosse (SJEL) Eagles, they will play a volleyball game against the Oakesdale Nighthawks.

The game will be played in St. John, and is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

The Eagles will also take on the Dayton Bulldogs Tuesday, Oct. 17.

The game will start at 6 p.m. and take place in St. John.

Other than the game against the Eagles, the Nighthawks will take on the Garfield-Palouse (GAR-PAL) Vikings Tuesday, Oct. 17.

The game will take place in Palouse and start at 6 p.m.

For the Colton Wildcats, they will take on the Vikings on Thursday, Oct. 12. The game will be in Palouse, and start at 6 p.m.

On Tuesday, Oct. 17, the Wildcats will take on the Pomeroy Pirates in Pomeroy. The match will start at 6 p.m.

Tekoa-Rosalia will play their game Tuesday, Oct. 17, to take on the Touchet Redhawks. The game will start at 6 p.m. and will be in Tekoa.

For football, the Eagles are coming off their first win of the season, currently with a 1-5 record. They will take on DeSales Friday, Oct. 13. The game will be played in St. John, and will start at 7 p.m.

For the Vikings, they will play their game Friday, Oct. 13 against Yakama Nation Tribal. The game will be played in Toppenish and start at 4 p.m.

For the Timberwolves, they will play their homecoming game Friday, Oct. 13, against the Pomeroy Pirates. The game will be played in Rosalia and start at 7 p.m.
