WSU Animal remembrance

PULLMAN — Washington State University’s (WSU) College of Veterinary Medicine is hosting another community-wide event to support those who have lost an animal companion on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the WSU Elson S. Floyd Cultural Center, 405 Southeast Spokane Street.

The “Celebration of Life and Remembrance for Our Animal Companions” is open to anyone who has lost an animal companion, either as part of their family or as a part of a veterinary health care team. It provides a warm and supportive atmosphere for grieving and saying goodbye.

Those who participate are encouraged to arrive at 10 a.m. to complete a ribbon they’ll write their pet’s name on and tie it to a garland that can be hung at WSU’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital’s memorial garden after the event. The ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m., and a social gathering will start after the ceremony to share stories.

To RSVP for the event, visit Celebration of Life & Remembrance for Our Animal Companions | Events | Washington State University (wsu.edu).
