Bid awarded for county guard rail project

COLFAX — In the regular commissioners meeting on Monday, Nov. 6, commissioners awarded a bid for a county-wide guard rail project to Frank Gurney, Inc. for $821,334.70.

The Public Works Department opened bids for the million-dollar project to improve guardrails around the county in various locations using federal safety funds on Monday, Oct. 30.

Public Works Director Mark Storey told commissioners that the safety grant project is administered through the Department of Transportation.
