Vikings cross country impress in state meet

PASCO - At the conclusion of the 2023 cross country season for 1B/2B schools, the Garfield-Palouse Vikings boys and girls cross country team had a strong showing at the state meet.

The WIAA state meet was held in Pasco on Saturday, Nov. 4.

On the day, the girls team finished second overall, falling just short of first place Pope John Paul 2.

For the boys team, they finished fifth. The overall boys winner was Valley Christian.

In the meet, first place in the girls race was Ruby Henry of Pope John Paul 2. She finished first with her race of 19:29.10.
