No girls basketball for St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse

ST. JOHN — The St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse Eagles high school will be without a girls basketball program this season.

Eagles athletic director Ken Gering said that the decision was made after only four girls showed up to the tryouts.

For the girls who want to play basketball who attend St. John high school, Gering said the decision is up to the families to get transportation or means of travel to participate for another high school girls team in the area.

Last season, the Eagles girls basketball team went 5-8 overall....
