At least ten $1000 scholarships offered
COLFAX — The Thrifty Grandmothers shop is awarding at least ten $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in Whitman County this year.
Students eligible for the scholarships must be planning to attend accredited colleges, universities and vocational/technical schools.
Applicants have no restrictions on their course of study or career path, and those pursuing vocational or technical education are encouraged to apply.
Grandmothers will consider students who have been active in their communities and plan to influence those around them wherever they live positively.
Values that the grandmothers will look for in successful applicants are honesty, integrity and a willingness to work hard and help others.
Application forms are available at the Thrifty Grandmothers Shop, located at 118 North Main Street, and on the Colfax high school website at https://sites.google.com/csd300.org/colfax-high-school/boyd, local high school counselors, or by emailing [email protected]. The deadline to apply is Feb. 15, 2024.
